These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Dummy Waiter service operated by Luke, a Providence College student based in Providence, Rhode Island. By using Dummy Waiter, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Dummy Waiter is a wearable device and software platform that captures table conversations, uses AI to parse orders, and sends them to the kitchen or POS system after server approval. The service includes audio recording, transcription, order management, menu management, floor plan tools, and analytics.
Dummy Waiter is currently in beta. The service is provided as-is during this period and is free during early access. If pricing is introduced in the future, we will communicate any changes to you before any charges begin. You will never be charged without prior notice and consent.
You must be 18 years or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to use Dummy Waiter. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
As a user of Dummy Waiter, you agree to:
Dummy Waiter is not liable for order errors. AI transcription and parsing may produce inaccurate results. Restaurants should always verify orders before sending them to the kitchen. The order approval step is built into the product for this reason.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dummy Waiter and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
We may modify, update, or discontinue any part of the service at any time during the beta period. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, but we are not obligated to maintain any specific feature or functionality during beta.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at luke@dummywaiter.com. We will process deletion requests promptly.
All Dummy Waiter branding, code, design, and related intellectual property is owned by Dummy Waiter. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Dummy Waiter product without written permission.
Your restaurant data belongs to you. This includes your menu items, floor plan, staff information, order history, and any other data you create within the platform. We do not claim ownership of your restaurant data.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
